HR Group expands to Austria: Tivoli Hotel Innsbruck is opened
Berlin, 15 December 2021 - The Berlin HR Group will operate the former Ramada Innsbruck Tivoli as the Tivoli Hotel Innsbruck in the future. The opening marks the hotel operator's entry into the Austrian market.
The idyllic capital of Tyrol is once again one hotel richer. The Tivoli Hotel Innsbruck will open its doors from 15 December 2021. Located opposite the Olympic World and not far from the historic old town with the famous Golden Roof, the hotel offers modern and comfortably furnished rooms as well as spectacular views of the Tyrolean mountains. This makes it a good starting point for exploring in and around Innsbruck.
"The Innsbruck location is ideal for our debut in Austria, combining leisure and business travel in equal measure," says Markus Lewe, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lodging Division of HR Group. "This is an important milestone for our expansion-driven company, and we are delighted to achieve it with such a promising project."
The hotel has a total of 159 rooms in different categories. Mornings start at the hotel with a highlight in the truest sense of the word, as the breakfast restaurant is located on the 11th floor and offers a breath-taking panoramic view. Simply good feel-good food accompanied by a craft beer or a cocktail awaits guests in the lobby bar in the evening. In the seminar area, guests can hold meetings with a view over the city at events for up to 80 people. The wellness area also offers relaxation and views in equal measure.
"Despite the current situation, we want to send a strong signal with the opening that we believe in the location and are ready to welcome guests," Markus Lewe continues.
General Manager Matthias Classen is in charge at the hotel. The experienced hotelier was already Managing Director at the acquired hotel for the last two years. He and his team used the last days before the opening to bring the hotel, which has been closed since summer, back from its slumber.
Over the next 12 to 24 months, the hotel will be transformed into an upscale product during ongoing operations to be ideally positioned for the hotel's future success. This will involve upgrading all rooms and bathrooms, as well as corridors, public areas such as the lobby, restaurant, bar and the spa and conference areas. With the comprehensive renovation, the hotel will soon continue to operate under an international brand.
